Job Description
Heads a team which assumes overall responsibility for ongoing relationships with PCG clients. Gains a complete understanding of the client’s often complex financial and personal issues and utilizes broad based wealth management knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive solutions. Assumes primary responsibility for client satisfaction by directing and coordinating designated bank resources to ensure prompt delivery of quality service. Develops new business by recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to enhance and expand relationship with clients, prospects and centers of influence. Mentors and trains team members.


Act as primary advisor and key consultant to designated clients.

Assume responsibility for all clients assigned to team and work with other team members to assure an excellent client experience.

Seek and develop referrals from current clients, their advisors, your bank partners and outside sources for introductions to new clients.

Develop and initiate a comprehensive customer calling program in accordance with established standards of service.

Profile clients and develop strategies to meet their needs and objectives.

Anticipate client needs, recognize opportunities and recommend appropriate products and services based on those individual client needs and assure seamless delivery.

Develop and mentor the team members reporting to you.

Educate client and team members on financial, regulatory and tax issues and the impact they have on the client’s wealth.

Interact with bank partners and other client advisors (attorney, CPA) to promote ongoing communication about the client in order to assure that client plan and solutions are current.

Maintain documentation of all client contacts and issues including routine formal correspondence with client confirming discussions and action.

Assure that all accounts are administered in accordance with established policies and procedures including timely completion of all required administrative reviews and required compliance documentation.

Participate in activities and projects that enhance the group.

Prepare and conduct performance reviews for team members.

Other projects and duties as assigned by senior management.


Bachelor’s degree. JD, CPA, CFP®, AWMA® a plus.

10+ years in an environment focused on private banking, wealth management, or financial planning. Broad based knowledge of financial planning, investments, estate planning, tax, legal, insurance, banking and credit products is desirable.

Must stay current with developments in these areas in order to provide quality and timely advice.

Must maintain a good understanding of bank products and services.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills are essential.

Ability to communicate benefits of strategies and products resulting in new business.

Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills.Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to make critical decisions independently.

Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team. Strong professional presence.

Must have ability to work with multiple systems and be comfortable with software/database applications, including Lotus Notes, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, wealth management and bank accounting systems. 

This position requires regular travel by car to various locations throughout the Bank's Chicago market. Occasional out-of-state travel may be required.

Typical Hours are M-F 8:00am-5pm. Occasional longer hours may be required as workload dictates.
