Job Description

First American Bank’s Rotational Development Program is a 9-12 month program designed as an accelerated entry into a career in the banking industry.  Rotational Trainees will move through targeted training across a range of business areas within the bank  Rotations may include Retail Banking, Retail Lending, Wealth Management, Investments, Trust Operations, Treasury Management, and Central Operations.  The program will help identify which career path aligns best with the skills, interest, and abilities of the rotational trainee.  This is an hourly (non-exempt) position. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Successfully complete each defined training rotation required during the program: Teller, New Accounts, and Customer Service.

Master each of the technical and system functions required of each position within the rotations including: teller transactions, customer accounts, customer service call center inquiries and call evaluations, and more.

Complete assignments/project to gain foundational knowledge and access to new skills. 

Participate in any assigned department project or rotation based on the business needs and/or any job shadow opportunity that may be presented.

Demonstrate exemplary internal and external customer service and professionalism throughout the training process.

Other duties necessary in training and professional development as determined by Rotation Managers and Program Managers.


QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma required.
  
College Degree preferred with a focus in Business, Finance or Accounting a plus. 

Detail orientation with an aptitude for business and customer interaction required.  

Flexible and adaptable to a demanding and fast-paced work environment required.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and confidence when speaking with other employees and external customers.

Proficient with business office and computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Must be willing to travel to First American Bank locations throughout the Chicagoland area.

Must be available to work all hours of bank operation. Most Branch locations are open for business six days a week, Monday through Saturday. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as scheduling may vary week to week.
